How To Install Plugins
A psp with custom firmware can handle plugins. These plugins can be almost anything : a screenshot tool, a homebrew organiser, a battery saver,…
Requirements :
- a PSP with Custom Firmware
- the plugin you downloaded (duh!)
- Windows Notepad
- 7-Zip, WinRAR or something similar
Let's go to work !
- Connect your PSP with the USB cable to your PC
- Enable a USB connection (Settings >> USB Connection)
- Open Windows Explorer and go to x:/seplugins/ (create this folder if neccesary)
- Unzip the prx file (= the plugin) to this seplugins folder
- Now it can get a bit tricky. You need to know where to plugins will be used: in the VSH menu, the GAME menu or the POPS menu (to play psx games)
To tell your PSP where the plugin will be used you need a txt file: vsh.txt, game.txt or pops.txt. - Most plugins include the neccesary txt files in the zipped file you downloaded. But even that can be misleading when you use more then one plugin.
An example will explain everything: - Download and unzip Ultimate VSH menu Revised, an excellent plugin btw!

- Drop the prx file in your X:/seplugins/ folder
- As this plugin needs to be in our vsh menu, we must create a vsh.txt file.
- Open Windows notepad and add this line to your new file:
- ms0:/seplugins/nameofplugin.prx 1 ; or in our case : ms0:/seplugins/vshmenu.prx 1
(The number one at the end is to automatically enable this plugin)
- Save the file as vsh.txt and put it next to your prx file in x:/seplugins/
- If you already have a vsh.txt file, then simply open the existing file and add the line mentionned above to that file and replace the old file on your PSP.
- To check if everything is working: restart your PSP while holding the R shoulder button to enter recovery menu.
- Go to Plugins, press X, and see if your plugin is enabled

- Press Back, select Exit
